Coordinate Clauses and Subordinate Clauses

Subordinate clauses are divided into three kinds of clause by their role in the sentence:
Nominal Clause, Relative Clause/Adjective Clause and Adverbial Clauses.
Subordinate clauses are generally introduced by subordination like what, when, why, who, that, after, before, if, even if, if only, as soon as, in order that, so that, etc.
A subordinate clause cannot stand alone as a sentence and it always depends on the main clause for its meaning.
Whoever fails the test is going to drop out.

Coordinate clauses are a sequence of semantically -related sentences that are equal important in ideas,
independent in structures and connected by coordinators.
The coordinators can be remembered by memorizing this FANBOYS(for, and , because, or, yet and since).
My friend and I was happy.
He passed the initial test, yet he has to clear next test as well.
Be at the station by 5 o'clock, or you will miss the bus.
